About Miqat

Miqat is an independent website that publishes accurate, fast and free prayer times for 865 cities in 60 countries, together with Ramadan timetables, the Qibla direction, the Hijri calendar and a zakat calculator.

Who is behind Miqat

Miqat is built and maintained by a software developer with more than 17 years of experience building business software and Islamic mobile apps, including adhan (prayer-time) and Qur'an-memorization apps.

Our principles

• Accuracy: we use established astronomical formulas and the standard method for each country, and publish our methodology.
• Transparency: every page shows the method used and lets you change it.
• Respect for local practice: where your mosque publishes a timetable, follow it.
• Privacy: no accounts; if you share your location, it is used only in your browser and never sent to us.

How the site is funded

The site is free and funded by advertising. We block advertising categories that conflict with Islamic values — such as gambling, alcohol, dating and interest-based lending — and review ads regularly. If you see an inappropriate ad, please tell us at [email protected].
